In the movie Fifty Shades of Grey, the secrecy and manipulation behind closed doors are displayed as part of an intimate, controlling relationship. Similarly, in my own experience as a survivor of ritual abuse and mind control, the acts done to me in secret were carried out by those in power who manipulated and controlled mine and other people's lives behind the scenes.
Just as the film pulls back the curtain on what was being done behind closed doors between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele bringing them into the spotlight, I expose the truth about mind control and the horrific torture and abuse that continues to be silenced by those with money and influence.
My story, unlike fiction or a movie, uncovers the real-life horrors orchestrated by government programs like MKUltra—proven by declassified CIA documents—yet often dismissed as mere conspiracy. It's time to expose what is truly happening behind those closed doors—mind control! As a survivor with "lived experience," I've had the honor of speaking at the past two Healing Together Conferences. However, we often face immense challenges in speaking out due to the coercive and silencing techniques used by perpetrator groups. Tragically, survivors and even experts in the field are not always believed, which further complicates the process of healing and awareness. The work of experts dedicated to raising awareness about RAMCOA and who help survivors to heal and reclaim their lives are so important. People like Dr. Ellen Lacter, PhD, psychologist and play therapist specializes in dissociative disorders and complex trauma. Dr. Randy Noblitt, PhD, a clinical psychologist and expert on ritual abuse discusses the credibility of survivor allegations and the ethics involved in the community's response to these claims. Cynthia Henrie, MFT, uses Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which integrates cognitive, emotional, and body-oriented approaches to trauma healing. Neil Brick, a survivor and researcher of ritual abuse, shares the history of child abuse awareness movements, noting the backlash against survivors, and the recent resurgence of public awareness on these crimes. Eileen Aveni, LMSW, LCSW, ACSW, BCD, focuses on helping internal system parts in survivors of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) to work together for healing and safety.
Our voices as survivors, clinicians and supporters are crucial in shedding light on a global issue that extends far beyond the United States, and in sharing the recovery tools that can offer hope to others.
I am a voice that speaks out for those who can't YET speak for themselves and a champion of survivors. My heart aches for those still trapped in the darkness of mind control and ritual abuse. I understand the profound pain, confusion, and isolation that comes with such experiences, having walked that path myself. To those still enslaved: I want you to know that you are not alone, that your suffering is real, and that there is hope for healing and freedom.
Mind control is deeply debilitating for survivors, impacting not only their autonomy but also their brain function. Victims of mind control, especially those subjected to ritual abuse, often experience severe dissociation as a defense mechanism. This psychological response to extreme trauma causes the mind to fragment, leading to a disconnect between thoughts, memories, feelings, and even a person's sense of identity.
For survivors like me, trapped in mind control programs that caused us to be used in sex trafficking and child pornography from a very young age, the dissociation was so intense that we had no conscious awareness of our involvement. The conditioning made it so that our free will was bypassed, leaving us with dissociated identities programmed to follow commands, essentially becoming slaves to our controllers. The toll on brain function is severe. The constant state of hypervigilance, memory fragmentation, and trauma can cause cognitive impairments, leaving survivors struggling with focus, decision-making, and emotional regulation. The psychological enslavement strips survivors of their humanity and sense of personhood, leaving them vulnerable and controlled by perpetrators. Many of us end up with multiple hospitalizations, not being believed, doubting our own memories as they surface and struggle with feeling like we are "going crazy" or "suicidal ideation." The flashbacks and triggers can be so fierce that even getting out of bed, eating, hygiene and performing daily tasks can be nearly impossible on days when it just gets to be "too much." Some survivors don't make it out alive.
Healing for survivors requires intensive therapeutic work to break through dissociative barriers, unearth hidden traumas, and slowly rebuild a sense of self that is free from the grasp of their abusers. It's a journey of reclaiming one's true self and relearning how to be human after such horrific dehumanization.
As much as I would like to believe that mind control is just another conspiracy, I know firsthand the harsh reality of it all too well because it was part of my experience and I still live with the effects.
Podcasts like Brainwashed featured by CBC (Canadian Broadcast Corporation), tackle the tough truth of the the CIA's experiments in mind control – from the Cold War and MKULTRA to the so-called War on Terror. This particular audio series touches on the horror at the Allan Memorial Institute in Montreal's new hospital where patients sought cutting-edge psychiatric care but were subjected to brutal experiments, the controversial treatments of Dr. Ewen Cameron, an internally renowned psychiatrist, once the director of the World, American and Canadian Psychiatric Associations. This podcast highlights the critical need to shed light on these non-consensual mind control experiments that are part of a global international problem, not confined to the United States where I reside. Bringing attention to these hidden atrocities is vital in raising awareness, providing justice for survivors, and preventing such torture and trauma that are part of a government cover up.
To those still suffering: Your pain is valid, your experiences are real, and you deserve to be heard and believed. There is a community of survivors and professionals dedicated to supporting your journey towards healing and freedom. You are stronger than you know, and recovery is possible.
"Every survivor's voice and healing matter, and together we dismantle the systems that thrive in the shadows. "Grey matter" matters!" ~Sharri Burggraaf
To those who have never experienced such trauma: I ask for your compassion, understanding, and support to those who need you to believe them when they share their stories. Educate yourself about the realities of mind control and ritual abuse. Your awareness and advocacy can make a significant difference in bringing these hidden atrocities to light, being the support a survivor needs and preventing future harm.
In the fight for justice and equality for all people everywhere, so too goes forth the battle for the recognition and rights of survivors of ritual abuse and mind control. Just like grey matter in the brain is vital to thought and function, exposing the manipulative forces that attack the mind's core is essential. Every survivor's voice and healing matter, and together we dismantle the systems that thrive in the shadows. "Grey matter" matters!
This is very interesting.
